Yurakaré sociolinguistic interviews
Description
This dataset contains recordings of sociolinguistic interviews among Yurakaré people with a focus on language attitudes. The interviews were conducted in Yurakaré (Glottolog: yura1255) and Spanish by speakers of Yurakaré during a workshop concerning the Yurakaré language organized by the civil organization FUNPROEIB Andes. It was held from July 17 to 22, 2017, in the event location Fátima Don Bosco close to the city of Cochabamba. Yurakaré is a language isolate spoken by around 1.600 people in the Andean foothills of central Bolivia.
