A central task of the DCH is the acquisition, long-term archiving and – where possible – making available of collections and resources. This includes both the archiving of research data and living systems such as web applications as well as ensuring the long-term re-use of research results, for example via the Language Archive Cologne (LAC), but also through the long-term management of further presentation and access layers to research data.
